Working with the Friends of Playland and City of San Francisco Playland Planning team, Fletcher Studio landscape architects have designed an outdoor, publicly accessible play area on 43rd Avenue inspired by the original Playland-at-the-Beach and the more recent Playland park. Taking cues from Playland-at-the-Beach's amusement rides, including the Big Dipper, Shoot-the-Chutes, and the Whip, the space features a variety of options for unstructured play and for the neighborhood to gather, play, and learn together. |
